4-22-25 THOUGHTS
Paul expresses great confidence in a congregation of the Lord’s Church. As I read these verses, several other scriptures came to mind... 2Tim 1:12 "For this reason I also suffer these things, but I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until that day." 1Cor 15:58 "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not [in] vain in the Lord." Paul says their fellowship in the gospel was a “good work.” I pray that our God, who began a good work in Rescue some 50 years ago, will perform that work until the day of Jesus Christ! It will take some “earthen vessels” of faith! Our God is able to do this in us! I must grow from me, to us, to Him! Seed, harvest and victory! It is God’s will... expressed in us and by us!
Php 1;1-6 Paul and Timotheus, the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus which are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons: 2 Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. 3 I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, 4 Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy, 5 For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now; 6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
My Prayer:
O God of all, may Your victory in Jesus be guarded in us until the end. May we see that victory in the direction of an excited and joyful living for You. Keep us in You, always and to the coming of our Lord. We want to abide in Your presence, O Lord. Finish Your work in us, O Lord! How we love You, and thank You, and praise Your awesome name. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
